Free PR Speedmatching event
Weber Shandwick, EC1N 2AE
Thursday 30 November 2017 12:00 - 14:00
Do you run the communications for your charity? Are there aspects of your communications strategy that you would like to get advice on but aren’t sure where to turn to? If so, then we have the perfect event for you!
Join us on 30 November for a spot of lunchtime Speedmatching with PR experts, Weber Shandwick!
Our Speedmatching events, based on the speed dating model, are an opportunity for you to meet and network with media and communications volunteers who can help you with the communications challenges you are facing.
So if you have a PR question or need an expert perspective on how you can engage your audience and communicate your stories more effectively, then why not give Speedmatching a go?
It is the first time I have done a Speedmatching event – what a great experience! I am impressed and strongly recommend this to everyone.Mihai Bica, Roma Support Group
Who should attend?
If you deal with the communications within your charity then this event is perfect for you.
It’s a fun and informal way to get 1-1 advice from the experts at Weber Shandwick, and if you really hit it off you might also end up recruiting a volunteer or two for your charity.
Due to demand, we can only accommodate one person from each charity at these events.
If you think you and your organisation will benefit from this event, then register today. All you need to do is click the ‘Register now’ button above and enter your details on the subsequent Eventbrite page.
Before the event
To ensure you get the very most out of this event (and to help our volunteers prepare), we need you to tell us about the PR challenge you want to discuss with our volunteers at the event.
Once you have registered for the event, you can submit your volunteer request via our Volunteer Platform
It is really quick and simple, just follow these three steps:
- Log in and go to your Volunteer dashboard. (If you haven’t already, register your charity now. It will only take a couple of minutes)
- Follow the link on your dashboard to ‘Create an Opportunity’ (This will appear when you have registered your charity). Use this to outline your PR challenge and what you would like our volunteers to help you with during the event.
- Before you ‘submit’ your opportunity, make sure you tick ‘YES‘ to the question: ‘Is this a Speedmatching Opportunity’ and enter the date of the event you are attending.
For our Speedmatching events to work, we rely on all participants turning up, if you register but are then unable to attend the event, please email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible so we can offer your spot to another charity.
