Women’s Voices 2018

08 Mar

Thursday 8 March 2018 16:30 - 20:30

Please note: this event is now full and we have chosen the 30 charities who will be coming along.

If your charity supports women and girls, or is looking to raise awareness, engage with or drive action among women, then join us on International Women's Day 2018 for an afternoon of creative brainstorming and advice, with a dedicated team of female only media and communications experts.

After the success of our 2017 Women’s Voices event we want to offer even more charities that support and campaign for women and girls the opportunity to gain strategic media advice and mentoring from some of the most talented women in the media industry.

What a fabulous way to spend International Women’s Day; to get to meet experts for advice and guidance. [Via Women's Voices 2017] we have received great insights on how to go about our new campaign.

Bringing together female talent from the media and charity sectors

This year our event is being hosted by Google, and during the event you will hear from women at the top of their media career, as well as meet with and talk to women executives from across the media industry.

Each successful charity will be matched to a team of female media and communications volunteers from organisations such as Google, Facebook, Saatchi & Saatchi and more and will receive bespoke advice on their communications challenge. There will also be plenty of time to network with other attendees from across the media and charity sectors.

Brainstorming ways to help [Maternity Worldwide's] Muffins For Midwives campaign was so much fun. So much so, I'm now contemplating hosting my own Muffins For Midwives event at Yahoo this May.

A time to celebrate women

International Women’s Day provides us with an opportunity to recognise the acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in history. While it is a time to celebrate, the day also reminds us that there is still so much more we need to do if we are to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

Media Trust promotes equality and diversity. We positively welcome applications from transgender individuals and charities working with the transgender community.
