Kamal Ahmed, BBC Economics Editor, appointed as Trustee of Media Trust

Media Trust, today announced that Kamal Ahmed, BBC Economics Editor and long-time Media Trust volunteer, is joining the Media Trust board of trustees.

Kamal first became involved in the work of the Media Trust when he was Media Editor at the Observer, and has volunteered at many Media Trust charity events, speaking about media skills, as well as mentoring young people that Media Trust supports through its youth media activity. He will be chairing the Media Trust’s event, From Brief to Output in One Day, at Adweek Europe 2017, taking place on 23 March.

Kamal will be such a great asset to Media Trust’s board, and brings wide experience across the print, broadcast and digital media sector, as well as having been involved in Media Trust as a volunteer advisor and mentor over so many years. I am thrilled that he has taken on this key role
