The Cedarwood Trust

Brand designer needed to refresh our identity ahead of website relaunch

Cedarwood is a community charity on the Meadow Well estate in North Shields, and after more than 40 years, our identity has drifted: our website, impact reports, building signage and social media all look like different organisations. We are rebuilding our website this year and want the brand settled before the build goes further, rather than paying for it twice. We already hold a lot of the raw material, including full new website copy, a working colour system tested against WCAG accessibility standards, a draft set of brand guidelines and a settled tone of voice. What we need is a designer to challenge that thinking and turn it into a real identity: a logo that survives as a favicon and an embroidered polo shirt, a final palette and type pairing, and lock-ups for our named services.Success looks like one coherent identity applied across website, print, signage and social, handed over in editable source files we can maintain ourselves. For the residents we serve, this matters because a charity that looks organised is a charity people trust with a benefits problem, a hungry week or a young child. For us, it makes every funding bid and partnership pitch easier to win.
