Every Casualty Counts
Graphic designer needed for powerful human rights report
We are working on the first-of-its-kind report which will illustrate the true human cost of armed conflict. Working with local partners, we are gathering the stories of 365 people killed in armed violence across 2024. We want to publish these stories, one for each day of the year, to show the British public and policymakers the real people behind the statistics.
We want them to recognise and identify with these victims, and understand the reality of life for people in conflict-affected areas. More details on the project are available here.
We are looking for a graphic designer who can transform this project from words on the page to something with powerful visual and emotional resonance. For many of the individuals featured we have been able to source original family photographs, which we want to include in the design.
We want the final printed document to provide a dignified tribute to those killed, while inspiring action among those who read it. We are aiming to go to print in October.
We already have 35 stories drafted, which can be used as a template for working on the design while we compile the rest.
Thank you.
