About this opportunity

Manchester Speedmatching Date: 13/05/19 Time: (1.30pm arrival for 2pm start) 2-4.30pm We are bringing Speedmatching to Manchester! What is Speedmatching? Speedmatching brings together media and communications professionals as volunteers with charities looking for help with how they communicate their messages. How does Speedmatching work? Speedmatching events are similar to the concept of speed dating, where you could meet many charities face-to-face in one session. You can use your skills and advice to promote the causes that you are passionate about all in one afternoon. You will use your skills and give on the spot advice. After the event If you’re interested in the charity and they’re also interested in working with you, mark it on your match card, and we’ll put you in touch after the event. Then it’s up to you – just a phone call or an hour-long meeting might be enough to get them started – or if you prefer you can volunteer your skills with them on a longer-term basis. Who should attend? We want 15 volunteers to come forward for an afternoon where you can offer bespoke advice and possible longer-term volunteering of your skills to 15 fantastic charities. If you have skills in website design, social media, PR, marketing, communication strategy, graphic design, digital media, TV/Film production, branding, copywriting, and journalism)- please apply.
