Volunteer filmmakers needed

We are looking for ten talented filmmakers to help charities in London share their stories

Media Trust is seeking ten professional filmmakers or production companies to volunteer to create a short charity film as part of a filmmaking scheme run in partnership with City Bridge Trust.

All the selected charities are London-based and the project will run from January to June 2019. The films will be launched at a private screening at the Barbican. They will also be promoted across social media by the individual charities to raise awareness of their work and impact.

This was incredibly eye opening and is a cause I openly champion to friends and colleagues

Volunteer filmmaker 2018

If selected, filmmakers will be required to volunteer approximately two days shooting and three days edit to produce a film of up to 3 minutes. There may be additional requirements, such as attending development meetings  with the charity. The project can be worked around any existing schedules.

All successful volunteers will be given £1,200 (incl. VAT) to help cover costs. You may be a self-shooting, self-editing filmmaker or part of a bigger production team and will receive guidance and support from Media Trust throughout the project.

All shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an informal interview at some point in December/January and will be required to start volunteering their time from the end of January 2019.
