By taking part in the workshop your young people will:
build confidence and agency to voice their opinion on issues they care about
discover how to shoot, edit, and produce compelling video content, as well as how to share
develop storytelling and presenting techniques to better tell their story
The workshop is intended to be relaxed and fun with a series of interactive practical challenges providing opportunities for skills development and direct feedback from the trainers and fellow peers.
Everyone that attends a workshop will be invited to submit their best vlog into the Vlogstar Challenge competition.
We are following government guidance and are part of the COVID safe charter. Bookings can be made for in-person or online workshops depending on the school/group’s preference.
This is a 2.5 hour workshop with flexibility to suit your timetable. The workshop will be delivered by two of our expert trainers, one will lead the session and the other will manage tech support throughout.
In order to run the session we have a few asks;
we will need use of your preferred video conferencing platform to run the session, the two Trainers will need to be given ‘co-host’ privileges
participants will need a device to access the session and a smartphone with data and memory available
we request between 10-20 participants in each workshop
Face to Face
This is a one-day workshop, from 9:30-3:30pm, delivered by one of our expert Trainers, taking place at your location. This will require;
a large space ideally with break out spaces available for the practical challenges
a good internet connection in the delivery space
AV set-up for the Trainer to present a slide show from Media Trust ipad
participants will need access to a smartphone with data and memory
we request between 20-30 participants in each workshop
