About the trainer

Amanda Jones is an Advertising Strategist who has been working at London advertising agencies for 13 years. Amanda has developed brand and marketing strategies for many well-known brands such as Ariel, Co-Op and Always. Alongside her day job she provides mentoring and workshop services to start-up social enterprises and charities, providing them with the same expert advice and support she provides to world leading brands. Amanda also runs Skilling Time, a collection of content encouraging professionals to ‘do good with their day job’ through pro bono work.

Charly Young MBE is an entrepreneur, mentor, facilitator and consultant. She works with impactful organisations as an advisor and consultant in the gender and diversity, youth and mentoring spaces – with corporates and for-purpose organisations, as well as those working with and for young people. She is co-founder of two charities – The Early Years Movement and The Girls’ Network – both of which focus on tackling gender inequalities, The Early Years Movement works to increase diversity in nurseries and to minimise the gender biases that children are exposed to. The Girls’ Network provides 14-19 year old girls from the least-advantaged communities across England with a female mentor and a network of professional female role models.In recognition of her work with The Girls’ Network, Charly received an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021 for services to female empowerment and young girls.
