In celebration of Refugee Week and World Refugee Day, Media Trust is teaming up with Bloomberg to offer refugee charities the opportunity to elevate your outreach efforts through expert communications coaching at this exclusive event.

If your organisation supports refugee and migrant communities and you’re eager to captivate your target audience through compelling storytelling, then this is an opportunity you can’t miss. Gain first-hand insights, innovative strategies, and personalised guidance from professionals who understand the power of media in making an impact.

How it will work

Led by Media Trust, you will experience group coaching from Bloomberg volunteers in themed breakout rooms. For this event, the breakout groups will focus on the following areas:

  1. Data-driven storytelling – discover powerful techniques and tools to harness your data and amplify your message and impact in the digital world
  2. Crafting compelling stories – understand essential storytelling frameworks and strategies to effectively engage your target audience and drive your mission forward

Bring your communications challenges and burning questions relating to these topics, receive valuable coaching and advice, exchange ideas and learn from your peers, and leave equipped with practical solutions to elevate your organisation’s story.

Media Trust’s speed mentoring session was extremely well organised and incredibly informative. The volunteers provided expert advice tailored to our issues and concerns.

Who can attend?

This event is exclusively designed for organisations supporting refugee and migrant communities. Priority will be given to small organisations with a turnover of £2 million or less.

Due to demand, we can only accommodate one person per charity, responsible for communications and/or media relations.

In celebration of Refugee Week and World Refugee Day

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts and culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. The theme for Refugee Week 2024 is “Our Home”. From the places we gather to share meals to our collective home, planet earth: everyone is invited to celebrate what our Our Home means to them.

World Refugee Day is an international day to honour refugees around the globe and celebrates the strength and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
