Crisis Comms Masterclass with Edelman

24 Sep

Edelman, SW1E 6QT

Tuesday 24 September 2019 14:00 - 17:00

As part of our Stronger Voices programme, Media Trust has teamed up with PR and marketing consultancy firm Edelman for this free masterclass to share their expertise on best communications practice in times of crisis and attack.

From social campaigns such as #metoo to the recent sexual misconduct scandal surrounding Oxfam, no organisation – however big or small – is immune to having their reputation undone in a matter of hours or days.

It has never been more important for organisations operating in the charity sector to ensure they are aware of the potential reputational risks they face and, more importantly, be ready to handle them.

Edelman’s team of Issues & Crisis specialists works to identify, plan for and manage reputational issues for some of the world’s biggest global brands, businesses and other organisations.

This masterclass will be an opportunity to learn and discuss first-hand about the following areas:

  • Modern issues and crisis management
  • Learnings from other brands and organisations who have faced major reputational issues
  • Litigation communications
  • Preparing your organisation to manage potential or emerging issues
  • What to do when the phone rings

Following the session, members of the Edelman Issues & Crisis team will be available for one-to-one conversations to offer tailored advice to charity attendees.

Attendance Eligibility:

To attend this Masterclass, your organisation must aim to tackle discrimination in one or more of the following areas, as detailed in the Equality Act (2010).
