Join us for a free online Marketing Essentials training for charities, in partnership with the Marketing Trust

Are you looking to boost your marketing skills and learn first-hand from an industry expert?

Learn how to strengthen your organisation’s local presence through effective offline marketing in our brand-new online workshop. This session is designed to help you build trust and lasting connections with your community using traditional marketing channels like print, radio, and events—ideal for reaching those who aren’t active online.

You’ll learn:

  • What marketing is and how it can benefit your organisation.
  • How to assess your organisation’s current situation and create a marketing strategy with clear goals.
  • Choosing the right marketing channels and tactics to deliver your message.
  • Refining your messaging to engage your audience effectively.
  • Working with local press and journalists to amplify your reach.
  • Creating impactful marketing materials.

Following the training, you’ll gain access to expert-led support sessions on key topics like SEO and Google Analytics, plus drop-in clinics to ensure you can put your new skills into practice with confidence.

  • Date & time: 13 & 14 January 2025, 10:00-12:30 both days. Please be available for both time slots.
  • Location: Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to the email provided during sign up nearer the time of the training.

Who should attend the training?

If your role whether paid, part-time or voluntary includes one or more of the following this training is for you.

  • You are responsible for the day-to-day management of their organisation’s marketing.
  • You have a role which includes elements of comms.
  • You want to develop new communications or marketing skills.
