Reframing Disability

28 Oct

Academy London, SW1W 9SH

Monday 28 October 2019 13:00 - 18:00

Reframing Disability aims to begin a discussion between organisations representing disabled people and the media and creative industry. We’re aiming to bring these two groups together to allow better representation, increased access and an ongoing conversation to flourish.

The idea behind this informal discussion is to share experiences, consider different stakeholders, build connections and explore opportunities for developing solutions that can change and improve the way disabled people are represented in the media. There is no set task or problem to solve. We are aiming to initiate a wider dialogue and enable a more effectual, broad and lasting discussion between the two sectors.

Who can attend?

Attendance is by invitation only. Each organisation is allocated two spaces. This opportunity is aimed at those who can provide insight into the representation of disabled people in the media and can also drive change and conversations forward. It is open to employees, volunteers, services users, members etc.

Reframing Disability is run in partnership with Disability Rights UK and Scope.

Reframing Disability is proudly sponsored by Channel 4.
