Shake up your social media with Channel 4 – Stronger Voices Masterclass

06 Sep

Channel 4, SW1P 2TX

Thursday 6 September 2018 09:00 - 12:00

As part of our Stronger Voices programme, Media Trust has teamed up with Channel 4 for this free masterclass. The day aims to inspire and shake up the wider equality sector's digital comms and get the sector's voice heard on social media.

We live in a nation addicted to social media. 41 per cent of adults in the UK use Facebook daily and 11 per cent use Twitter. This presents a massive opportunity for charities. Get your social media strategy right and it can be a powerful, low cost way to engage with stakeholders and attract new donors.

The great news is it’s not rocket science

Channel 4’s presence on social media is booming. In 2016, they were the biggest TV channel in the UK on Facebook (and they’ve been on quite a journey to get there). Join them at this exciting and interactive morning session as they share innovative advice and guidance to develop your charity’s social media strategy and engage your audience.

This masterclass will be led by Channel 4’s social media team, who are behind standout marketing campaigns for the IslandThe Jump and Naked Attraction.

This masterclass will help you to:

  • Understand the importance and benefits of social media
  • Choose the platforms that best suit your needs
  • Employ winning strategies to keep your audience engaged and reach more people
  • Measure success using tools that are available for free

After the Masterclass, Channel 4’s social media experts will be on hand to give you 1-2-1 advice and ideas on your social media profile, activity and campaigns.
