15 Jun

Tuesday 15 June 2021 14:00 - 15:30

Join us on 15 June for free on the spot digital and communications advice, ideas and feedback from leading media and creative industry volunteers.

If you would like tips on effectively communicating your stories, are looking to increase engagement on social media or there are aspects of your communications strategy that you would like input on, this event is an excellent way to get real-time advice, ideas and feedback.

Media Trust is partnering with The FSI for Small Charity Week’s Big Advice Day to offer your small charity the opportunity to attend an exclusive comms coaching event.

This event brings you together with top media and creative industry professionals who want to volunteer their time and expertise to help charities like yours to build your comms skills, reach and knowledge.

How it will work?

Charities are invited to meet in themed breakout rooms on Zoom with 5-6 fellow charities, for small group coaching sessions led by volunteers on a specific communications topic you want to develop for your charity.

Participating charities will have an opportunity to bring their communications challenges and questions to the session to get valuable coaching and advice and learn from your peers.

Each breakout group will focus on a different communications area:

  1. Film and content productionincluding creating content that stands out, creative tips to tell your story through compelling content and best practice for accessible content.
  2. Social media and digital marketingincluding tips and tools to increase engagement, reach and support across social media platforms.
  3. Comms strategy and planningincluding tips on strategic comms planning on small budgets with limited resources and answering your most pressing strategic comms questions to help you prioritise the impact you want to have.

“Media Trust’s speed mentoring session was extremely well organised and incredibly informative. The volunteers provided expert advice tailored to our issues and concerns."
