Stronger Voices – How to Grow and Engage Audiences Online Masterclass

31 Mar

Wednesday 31 March 2021 13:30 - 14:45

In this masterclass, we’ll look at who your target audience is, where you can reach them and how to engage them with great content.

Stronger Voices is a Media Trust programme which has been specifically designed to strengthen the voices of equality organisations across the capital. Strengthening the communications capabilities of equalities organisations is critical if we want to enable the voice and representation for those who are marginalised and facing inequality. The Stronger Voices programme is funded by City Bridge Trust.

The masterclass

On Wednesday 31st March, Media Trust will be running a free masterclass.

There is a lot of noise on social media, meaning it can be hard to get cut-through and get your message heard. Whilst social media is a brilliant marketing and engagement tool, it can be wasteful of your time if you’re speaking to people on the wrong platforms.

Covid-19 has meant that many events and services have had to rapidly move online. Getting your message out to the right people, at the right time, where they are, has never been more important. In this masterclass, we’ll look at who your target audience is, where you can reach them and how to engage them with great content. And we’ll share some tips on how to build your following too.

In this masterclass you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify your target audience
  • Find the best platforms to reach them on
  • Grow your social media followers
  • Engage your audience with effective and engaging content

The session will be facilitated by Kirsty Marrins, (interim) Head of Marketing and Communications at Media Trust. Kirsty is a copywriter, social media strategist and digital marketer, working in the charity, finance and travel sectors. Kirsty is also a Trustee of CharityComms and former Trustee of the Small Charities Coalition (5 years).

Past and present clients include: Action Against Hunger, Barnardo’s, RNLI, Citizens Advice, Breast Cancer Care, CARE International, Lightful, Dogs Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust.
