We wish to recruit a volunteer with experience in communications to be our operational communications lead.

Our comms team helps us to recruit volunteers, raise funds, and explain why we think refugee resettlement is an important, humane and compassionate thing to do.

The lead will be a ‘player’ in, and also the conductor of, a small comms team which currently consists of 3 regular volunteers and 6 occasional volunteers. 

Our main communication channels are quarterly meetings for all volunteers, supporters & refugees newsletters/updates (via Mailchimp and Facebook) and our website – 2,600 views in last 90 days. Our Facebook group (private) has 774 members and the Facebook page (public) has 802 followers. We have 774 subscribers on Mailchimp, 46 followers on Instagram [new build], and 55 followers on LinkedIn. We also do occasional events e.g. Sevenoaks Summer Fair on The Vine.
