The Birch Collective CIC
Marketing mentor needed to guide CIC’s Marketing Coordinator
We’re looking for a marketing mentor or consultant to support our Marketing Coordinator, who has been in post for a year. We have a clear marketing strategy, but he would benefit from expert coaching and guidance to help prioritise tasks, take confident action, and develop his skills as a strategic marketer.
We’re currently working with a brand consultant (pro bono) to refresh our brand identity, and we’re also in the process of redesigning our website. Alongside this, we’re developing a new brochure and slide deck—our Coordinator needs support getting these over the line and aligning them with our broader goals.
We’re seeking someone who can help him identify what’s most important, how to make the best use of his time, and what additional volunteer support could help maximise impact, such as graphic designers, copywriters or SEO specialists.
Ideal support would combine strategic advice with action-focused mentoring, helping translate our vision into a clear, consistent brand and communications toolkit.
This will strengthen our reach, increase referrals to our free wellbeing programmes, and build new partnerships—ultimately enabling us to support more young people in Bristol facing mental ill-health, isolation, and disconnection from nature.

The Birch Collective
CULTIVATING BELONGING, PURPOSE AND RESILIENCE
The Birch Collective is a Bristol-based social enterprise supporting young people aged 16–25 through nature-based wellbeing programmes. We work with those experiencing isolation, anxiety, low mood, or uncertainty in life, offering a safe and inclusive space to connect with nature, build confidence, and find purpose.
We run free weekly sessions like Fresh Air Thursdays and ReCoupe, where young people can explore natural crafts, woodland management, peer support, and playful outdoor activities. Our programmes focus on creativity, connection, and building resilience in community. We also offer 1:1 nature-based mentoring and youth-led advisory opportunities.
Born during the Covid-19 pandemic, our approach is rooted in belonging, play, and empowerment. We help young people grow through joyful, hands-on learning while feeling seen and valued.
Volunteers support session delivery, help create safe spaces, and share in meaningful work that uplifts others. If you care about mental health, the environment, or supporting diverse young people to thrive—you’ll fit right in.
Led by a passionate team with backgrounds in education, landwork, craft, and mental health, we bring over 25 years’ experience to everything we do.
