HBG is a comedy and documentary writer and director, with a background in journalism, sketch, stand-up and improv, being mentored by BAFTA-winning director Simon Hynd as part of the Directors UK Inspire scheme. She kickstarted her directing career with an ADCAN* Award in 2018 for her first ever commercial and her work has gone on to garner tens of millions of views online, feature on NOWNESS, The Evening Standard, and Funny or Die, as well as screen at the BFI and other international festivals.
She has extensive experience working with high-profile talent, and in live action, archive, animation and VFX. She also originated and directed HERSTORY – the first docuseries commissioned by MBC for Shahid, the Middle East’s largest network. Currently, she is developing a couple of TV and feature comedy projects and has just graduated from NFTS.
