402 (Gravesend) Squadron RAFAC
Social Media & Content Volunteer Needed for Local Youth Organisation
402 (Gravesend) Squadron RAF Air Cadets is seeking support to professionalise and consistently manage our social media presence across Facebook and Instagram. Our current challenge is that, despite having active channels and a library of photos and updates, we lack a structured communications plan, clear messaging, and the capacity within our volunteer team to maintain regular, engaging content. We are looking for a volunteer with strong social media skills—particularly content planning, copywriting, basic graphic design, and the ability to shape posts and short videos into compelling stories about youth achievement and community impact.
Success would look like a sustainable content strategy, a bank of ready-to-use templates or assets, and improved engagement metrics that help us reach parents, potential cadets, and local supporters. We aim to increase awareness of the opportunities we provide—such as flying, STEM training, leadership development, and community service—and strengthen our recruitment of both cadets and adult volunteers.
This support will have a direct impact on the young people we serve by helping us reach those who would benefit most from our programme and by highlighting the positive role our cadets play in Gravesend. A stronger online presence will allow us to grow, support more young people
