Sam Tomlinson

MediaSense Chief Client Officer and

Media Trust Chair of Finance & Audit Committee

On 1 September 2024  Sam and all his PwC Marketing & Media team joined MediaSense, with Sam becoming Chief Client Officer.

Previously, Sam was PwC’s Media leader for the UK, where he set up and led PwC’s multi-award-winning Marketing & Media team.  Their services cover customer insight, marketing transformation and effectiveness, media assurance (media audits), audience reporting, and campaign delivery, all underpinned by data privacy and ethics.

In the past three years Sam’s team published two globally acclaimed studies into programmatic advertising, verified audience data for broadcasters and publishers, undertook hundreds of media audits across the globe, ran major media agency pitches across 50+ markets, and publicly verified campaign delivery for addressable TV and digital out-of-home. Sam’s team is also responsible for the 6-monthly IAB/MediaSense Digital Adspend Study in the UK. In 2021 he was recognised as one of Campaign’s “40 Over 40” influential figures in UK media.

Sam is married with two children; when work and family permit he “enjoys” running ultra-marathons.
