How to find and build strong partnerships with businesses that support your charity’s work.
With traditional funding and grants becoming increasingly competitive, many charities are looking for more sustainable ways to generate income. Corporate partnerships can offer real, long-term value, not just financially, but through skills, reach and shared purpose. The challenge is knowing where to start, who to approach, and how to build partnerships that genuinely benefit both sides.
This practical, two-hour workshop will guide you through the corporate partnership journey, from identifying the right organisations to approach, through to building relationships that last. You’ll leave with a clearer understanding of what businesses are looking for, a simple structure for making your approach, and the confidence to start meaningful conversations.
If you are a People’s Postcode Lottery grantee and the session is fully booked or your code isn’t being accepted, please email osianb@mediatrust.org to be added to the waitlist.
In this session, you’ll build the essential skills needed to develop successful corporate partnerships. We’ll cover:
This workshop is ideal for fundraisers, charity leaders, or anyone responsible for income generation who wants to explore corporate partnerships. Andy King is an award-winning storyteller. In July 2022, Fundraising Magazine named him ‘the most influential fundraiser in the UK’.
Andy’s passion is helping charities tell their most important stories to those with the power to change the ending. This has led him to kickstart corporate partnerships programmes from a standing start to a value of £450,000 per year in 18 months.
He has also transformed existing approaches to go beyond ‘logo-led’ fundraising with St. John’s Ambulance, UNESCO and Cancer Research UK.
