Communicating for Change: Getting It Right During The General Election

15 Apr

Monday 15 April 2024 10:00 - 12:00

Join our webinar to learn all about how to communicate as a charity during the general election, from the legislation to the risks.

The Charity Commission has made it clear that campaigning is a legitimate activity for charities. But if you’re still unsure when or how you can campaign during a General Election, or what guidance you should be following, this training is for you.

We’ll cover the important legislation, guidance and regulation that govern how charities campaign during elections to ensure they remain politically neutral.

This year poses so many opportunities for campaigning and engaging supporters, but it is important to understand how to manage the compliance risks. This is especially important for charity comms professionals who will often be at the frontline of managing charities’ campaigning activities and reputation during the coming months.

This event will take place online. The webinar link will be released to delegates ahead of the event.

Through this training, you’ll learn:

  • What key pieces of guidance and legislation that guide charity campaigning during General Elections say
  • How to manage the risks and opportunities that come with General Elections for charities.
  • How to work through different scenarios in your charity.
  • Understand what to communicate internally about General Elections.
