Environmental policy: Key moments and opportunities for UK charities

For this year’s World Earth Day, Media Trust has teamed up with Seahorse Environmental to deliver a free masterclass for charities on engaging environmental policy makers. Ahead of a myriad of environmental policy moments on the horizon, Seahorse Environmental will share key insights and practical applications for the sector.

Seahorse Environmental is an award-winning environmental agency, supporting clients with designing and executing political campaigns, communications programmes and sustainability strategies. Seahorse Environmental received the ‘Communications Agency of the Year’ at the 2020 Business Green Leaders Awards.

The masterclass will be delivered by Isabella Gornall, Founder and Managing Director of Seahorse Environmental. Isabella is also chair of UK:100, and sits on the Advisory council for the APPG on Sustainable Finance and on the Steering Committee for Conservative Environment Network.

With many key developments that should have happened in 2020 postponed, this is a critical year for environmental policy. Isabella will unpack moments such as the UK’s Environment Bill, the COP26 Climate Conference and the Paris Agreement on Nature, with practical tips for charities looking to engage with politicians and civil servants.

This masterclass will be an opportunity to learn and explore these themes first-hand along with the following topics:
