Brilliant strategic comms professional/ copywriter to explain our work
We’ve been around for 15 years, changing from a social enterprise to a charity in 2023. This transition requires us to be much more outward-facing. We need a major upgrade from our current position: two (linked)websites, one a ‘company’ site, one ‘family facing’; three names we are known by – Transgenerational Change Ltd, The School & Family Works and Family Group; too much professional language in much of our comms; poor coherence in how we communicate about ourselves (no agreed platform or positioning statement or elevator pitch), somewhat due to the complexity of what we’re doing.
Social media output is limited: we have an excellent consultant who works for us 6 hours a week. Like most small charities, we’re under-resourced, time poor, and most keenly focused on frontline work, therapeutic outcomes, and issues like safeguarding /risk management.
We’re deliberately, and successfully, inviting lots more attention. Within the next few months, we’ll be coming to MT with various projects. First is a copywriting project, to help us explain our work powerfully, addressing the points about wordiness and coherence above. This will set us on course to create a new website where we can simply but powerfully communicate the complex work we do.
