Female Cookery Volunteer
Purpose of the Role:
To lead engaging cookery sessions as part of the Baytree Centre’s GEMS programme for girls aged 5–18. By creating a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment, you will help participants learn new cooking skills, explore different recipes, and build confidence in the kitchen. You will assist with facilitating and supporting cookery lessons that encourage creativity, teamwork, and healthy living.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and facilitating cookery-focused after-school sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to participants.
- Support the delivery of age-appropriate cooking activities that promote learning, creativity, and personal development.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment where girls feel confident trying new recipes, expressing themselves, and working as part of a team.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and organising resources to ensure smooth running of sessions.
- Adhere to Baytree Centre policies and safeguarding procedures.
This role is open to female applicants only (Equality Act 2010: Schedule 9: Occupational Requirements). Applicants must be 18 years or older.
