Female Maths Volunteer
Purpose of the Role:
To support the delivery of engaging and inclusive maths sessions as part of the Baytree Centre’s GEMS programme for girls aged 5–18. By helping to create a safe, encouraging, and inspiring environment, you will support participants to develop their mathematical skills, build confidence, and enjoy learning. Working alongside staff, you will assist with planning, facilitating, and supporting activities that make maths fun and accessible for all abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Facilitate maths-focused after-school sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to participants.
- Foster a supportive environment where girls feel confident exploring mathematical concepts, asking questions, and developing problem-solving skills.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and organising resources to ensure smooth running of sessions.
- Adhere to Baytree Centre policies and safeguarding procedures.
This role is open to female applicants only (Equality Act 2010: Schedule 9: Occupational Requirements). Applicants must be 18 years or older.
