Female Science Volunteer
Purpose of the Role:
To support the delivery of engaging science sessions as part of the Baytree Centre’s GEMS programme for girls aged 5–18. By creating a safe, encouraging, and inspiring environment, you will help participants explore scientific concepts, develop curiosity, and enjoy learning through fun, hands-on activities. Working alongside staff, you will assist with delivering and supporting activities that make science accessible and enjoyable for all abilities.
Main Responsibilities:
- Facilitate science-focused after-school sessions, providing guidance and encouragement to participants.
- Foster a supportive environment where girls feel confident exploring new ideas, asking questions, and participating in experiments.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and organising materials to ensure the smooth running of sessions.
- Adhere to Baytree Centre policies and safeguarding procedures.
This role is open to female applicants only (Equality Act 2010: Schedule 9: Occupational Requirements). Applicants must be 18 years or older.
