Female Youth Life Skills Volunteer
Purpose of the role:
Your role is to support the Life Skills and Employability Programme Lead at the Baytree Centre in delivering one of the clubs within the Life Skills Project. The programmes include Her Space (Spark) for girls in school year 10 and above, Future Me (Jr Spark) for girls in school years 8–9, and Step into Secondary (Sparklers) for girls in school year 7. This includes co-facilitating weekly workshops that focus on embedding essential life and instilling Baytree's values.
Main responsibilities:
- Co-deliver weekly life skills workshops alongside the Programme Lead.
- Encourage active participation and ensure sessions reflect the girls' interests.
- Occasionally support trips or outings (e.g. theatre visits).
- Support with fortnightly session planning.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with participants.
- Complete volunteer evaluations and other tasks as required.
- Adhere to Baytree Centre’s policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety, and equality, diversity & inclusion.
This role is open to female applicants only (Equality Act 2010: Schedule 9: Occupational Requirements). Applicants must be 18 years or older.
