Toucan Employment
Filming support needed to make an engaging film of our work
We are looking to film some of the employment partners we work with, to create an engaging and persuasive short film, showcasing the benefits of our work, especially to employers. The film will be available on our website and Youtube channel once it is finished. We are looking for someone who would be able to undertake the filming and editing of these clips. We are hopeful that at the end we would have an excellent resource to try and persuade nervous potential employers of the benefits of taking on our clients. We hope that this would mean increased opportunities for our clients, so increased employment numbers overall.

Charity Details
Toucan Employment is the UK's longest-running supported employment charity for people with learning difficulties/disabilities and autism; we work to support clients from the London Boroughs of Southwark, Lambeth, and Lewisham into, and at, sustainable employment suited to their skills, interests, and support needs.
We also offer holistic support on issues that could impact on clients' ability to enter, and sustain, employment - such as benefits, housing, digital literacy, and mental health.
People with learning difficulties/disabilities and autism only have an employment rate of 4.8% (Mencap) and 22% (National Autistic Society) nationally, and the boroughs we work in have aggregated unemployment rates of roughly 10.8% (Economic Development Bulletins), meaning that people with learning difficulties/disabilities and autism in these boroughs have very low levels of employment.
Last year we worked with 310 clients, of which 214 were in some form of employment. Many of clients have worked with the same employer for many years - our longest continuously employed client has been with the same employer for 24 years.
