Cayr Charity

Filmmaker needed to document breast cancer awareness project

Cayr Charity runs Pink Stitch, a project supporting people living with and beyond breast cancer. This year we want to create a short documentary film to capture the full journey of the project, from assembling and sending care boxes to participants, through to a mock unboxing sequence, and culminating in interviews with participants about what this kind of community support means to them. We are looking for a filmmaker or videographer who can lead creatively on this project alongside our team and participants. We have Rode microphones, a tripod, and access to Adobe Premiere Pro. We don't have a camera, though filming on iPhone is an option if the volunteer is comfortable with this. We can support with scripting, participant coordination, and any logistics on the days. Success looks like a short, emotionally resonant film, ideally 5 to 10 minutes, that we can share on social media, having playing at an exhibition and with funders to raise awareness of the project and its impact. We are completely open to the volunteer shaping the creative direction. This film would help us reach more people affected by breast cancer and demonstrate the real human value of what we do.

In depth Project: 13-16 hours
