WARM: WORKPLACE ADDICTION & RECOVERY MOVEMENT CIC

Help Launch a Groundbreaking Movement Tackling Workplace Addiction -PR Campaign

We are launching a new social enterprise — WARM: the Workplace Addiction & Recovery Movement CIC — to tackle one of the last great workplace taboos: addiction. Although over 7% of workers experience a Substance Use Disorder, most suffer in silence due to stigma, with little access to early support. We are seeking a PR and media volunteer to help us deliver our first national press campaign in the lead-up to our official launch on 1 October 2025.

We will record a powerful video interview with a leading public health figure and want to use this to pitch a feature to the Financial Times, ideally within their Work & Careers or Health section. We need support shaping the media narrative, writing the press release or pitch and advising on journalist targeting and timing.

Success would mean generating real media interest in the issue and raising the visibility of WARM among UK employers. This visibility is crucial to influence early adoption and reduce the stigma that stops people from accessing help. Your skills could help start a national conversation and directly contribute to making UK workplaces safer, more supportive and recovery-aware.

THANK YOU!
