Accessible Waterways Association CIC

Media expert needed to get press coverage for a special launch event

We are about to launch the first Accessible Moorings in partnership with MK Canals, the Buckingham Canal Society and the Canal & River Trust. A prototype bollard has been developed and tested following development work by students at Walsall College (https://www.awa-uk.org.uk/developing-the-accessible-mooring-bollard). In early May, bollards will be installed at two sites in Wolverton and Fenny Stratford. By getting press coverage (TV, radio and print), we will be able to showcase how these moorings will benefit the increasing number of disabled boaters on our inland waterways network. We are also looking for help with compiling Social Media posts and sharing them with a wider audience. This includes advice and/or help on producing videos and stills to use to promote the project. This will help our mission by raising public awareness, which in turn we want to use to attract funding from corporate partners.
