Wayward Plants is looking for a volunteer photographer and filmmaker who can begin immediately to help document an ambitious propagation project at the Barbican Conservatory.

Ahead of the Conservatory's major renewal project, we are working with the Barbican's horticultural team to propagate thousands of cuttings. These will be cared for at the Wayward Plants Reuse Centre before being made available through a series of public plant adoption events at the Barbican.

This is a rare opportunity to access parts of the Conservatory that are not normally open to the public.

We're looking for:

• A photographer to produce a clear and beautiful visual record of each of the approximately 25 plant species being propagated, alongside documentary photography capturing the people, setting and behind-the-scenes process.
• A filmmaker to document the cuttings taken at the Barbican and the propagation process at the Wayward Plants Reuse Centre.

The resulting photography and films will support plant identification and interpretation, press activity, social media and the long-term documentation of the project.
