St Mary's church

Social media help to review Facebook and publicity and develop strategy

Most local people will have seen St Mary's church, but are unaware of the opportunities, events and activities we offer, from services, community support and facilities.

Our Vicar and volunteers post regularly to Facebook including live streaming some services (Facebook 463 likes 611 followers). We take photos. We design graphics on Canva and post them to Facebook and print/copy. We share events via our notices (printed, email, Facebook (events), and free on our website and other sites - the Town Crier also promotes our events). We have a Next Door account and post to that. We post volunteer opportunities online (charity Job, Indeed, Restless, Do-it, Neighbourly etc) and fundraisers. We occasionally make the press and our Vicar recently featured in a local podcast.

We are looking for skills such as graphic design, copy and strategy skills.

We would love to increase our reach and engagement to raise awareness. The goal is for more people to attend events, book (hire) our space and get involved as volunteers to help our community etc.
