Maytree Respite Centre

Website Redesign

Maytree is the UK’s only residential charity supporting adults in acute suicidal crisis through a unique, non-medical psychosocial model. Since reopening in 2024, we recognise that our website is too complex and does not clearly serve our two key audiences: people who need help and people who want to give help.

We are seeking a volunteer with expertise in website design, user experience, information architecture and digital storytelling to help us create a simpler, more accessible and compassionate website. The redesigned site should make it easy for visitors to find the right information, whether they are seeking support, making a referral, donating, volunteering or exploring partnership opportunities.

Our small team can provide content, organisational knowledge and key messages, but we need specialist support to improve structure, navigation, messaging and calls to action. Success would be a modern, intuitive website with two clear user journeys, stronger engagement and a design our team can maintain.

Ultimately, this work will help more people find life-saving support and enable more supporters, volunteers and partners to contribute to Maytree’s mission.
