Association of Charitable Organisations
Branding expert needed for accessible logo and colour guide update
We’re rebranding the ACO logo to modernise our identity while retaining core elements like our orange brand colour. We want the refreshed logo to reflect collaboration, unity, and our role as the voice of grant-giving charities. Alongside this, we need a colour palette and accessibility guide to ensure our visual identity is inclusive and compliant with accessibility standards across digital and print.
We are looking for a volunteer with branding and graphic design expertise, ideally with knowledge of accessible design principles. You’ll help refine or redesign our logo and develop a complementary, accessibility-friendly colour guide.
Success would mean a logo and brand colour palette that looks fresh and professional, works across platforms, and meets WCAG accessibility standards. This would allow us to confidently present our brand to members, stakeholders, and the wider public, ensuring clarity and inclusivity in all communications.
Ultimately, your support will help us better represent and support our network of over 100 charities, improving how we communicate our collective impact.

Campaign Planning & Logo Design for a £1m Fundraising Appeal
We are launching a £1m fundraising campaign to build Sevenoaks Scouts Community Barn. The Community Barn will be a new, purpose-built activity centre and headquarters for Scouting in Sevenoaks, and a Community facility for the benefit of local community groups.
We are looking for support to develop a Marketing strategy (to include copy editing, print and digital marketing) to launch and sustain this £1m campaign, and graphic design expertise to develop a unique project logo. The campaign objective is to secure £1m in funding over nine months from diverse sources including local businesses, grant making bodies, major donors, and Scouting alumni.
With climbing, outdoor, and water sports facilities, Sevenoaks Scouts Community Barn will be a hub for Scouting in Sevenoaks: a place for young people to access adventure and fun while learning skills for life. As a Community facility, the Barn will also be available to local organisations as a place for the whole community to come together.
We are a small team of Scouting volunteers with no professional Marketing expertise. We are in need of support to develop a Marketing strategy to ensure the success of this fundraising campaign.

The Venkat Trust
Social media expert to helps us up our game
The Venkat Trust. A success story that needs to be told.
The Venkat Trust celebrates its 21st anniversary this year. Since it was set up in 2004 by Sylvia Holder in memory of Venkat, a poor 12-year-old fisherman’s son she met on a South Indian beach and whose education she sponsored, the Trust has built a 1000 pupil Higher Secondary School, set up a 400-child sponsorship scheme and pays the university fees of 75 young people a year. Every penny raised goes to India. The trustees cover all UK costs.
We need help to put together a digital strategy and advice on how to turn our stories into something that engages people of all ages, everywhere.
What success looks like: lots more followers who’re interested in what we do and want to be part of a successful charity, eg sponsoring a child, taking part in an event or becoming a funder.
The volunteer who can help us crack social media will be a game changer. We have people to gather the stories and pictures but if we can package these in a way that breaks through to new people in new places, that would be success with a capital S.

The Venkat Trust was founded in 2004 by Sylvia Holder in memory of Venkat, a poor 12-year-old fisherman’s son she met by chance on a beach in India and whose education she sponsored. When he was killed aged 27, just as his career was taking off, she pledged to give all the children of his village, Kovalam, the same opportunity of an excellent education that Venkat had had.
Twenty-one years later, the Venkat Trust has turned Kovalam into a place of educational excellence. Thousands of children have now benefitted from an outstanding education; once resigned to a future of menial jobs and dire poverty, they can now progress to university degrees or vocational qualifications and wonderful careers. The alumni include doctors, lawyers, IT specialists and bankers. The Trust’s 1000-pupil Higher Secondary School is in the top ten of the state’s 6,848 secondary schools, sought after for its outstanding academic and sporting facilities and results.
The Trust’s sponsorship scheme is changing the lives of 400 of the poorest children, greatly improving their welfare. At present, 75 are undergraduates, studying subjects from medicine to cyber security, law to AI and genetic engineering, accountancy to computer science.

Photographer needed to capture two inspiring community events
We’re looking for a volunteer photographer to help capture two one-off community events we’re hosting. These gatherings celebrate and connect our growing network, and we’d love to document the energy, engagement, and atmosphere through a series of high-quality images.
Both will take place in central London locations, one is on Tuesday 14th October and the other Tuesday 18th November.
We’re seeking someone with experience in event photography who can deliver a small selection of edited photos for use across our website, social media, and future promotional materials. Success for us would be a strong visual record that brings the events to life and helps us share our story with a wider audience.
These are one-off events, so this is a short-term volunteering opportunity, not an ongoing commitment. We also welcome applications from those who are available for only one of the two events.

There are still huge groups of society being excluded from work because of our 9-to-5, five day a week, office based prevailing approach. We focus on supporting 7 groups who are structurally excluded from the workforce: Disabled individuals - Mental health challenges - Carers - Neurodiverse individuals - Long-term illness - Older Workers and Parents.
Workstyle is the freedom to choose when and where you work which, in turn, will create a happier, more fulfilled society through a world of work without bias.
We will do this by closing the gaps for those who are structurally excluded from work by replacing 9-to-5 traditional working with workstyle, levelling the playing field and creating true inclusivity and accessibility in our society. We have supported thousands of workstylers around the world to set, project and respect their own workstyles, and are conducting pioneering research into the link between autonomy, wellbeing and productivity.

Workstyle Revolution
Designer/Brand expert needed to shape and create refreshed brand identity
We’re seeking support with a short-term project to evolve the brand identity of Workstyle Revolution to reflect our vision, values, and growing community, as well as client feedback.
We have an existing logo, colour palette, and tone of voice, but these elements need a review and refresh. We’re looking for a volunteer with strong skills in brand development and graphic design—ideally someone who can advise on visual identity, create or evolve brand assets, and help us define clear guidelines for future use.
Success would be a refreshed, confident brand identity that feels authentic to our values and is easy for our team to implement going forward. A stronger brand presence will allow us to engage more effectively with our audience, build credibility, and accelerate the impact of the Workstyle Revolution movement.

Content lead needed to set up co-ordination of multiple content creation streams
We’re looking for support in creating and streamlining a content creation process to help us make the most of our existing video content. At present, we record around six videos each month, and need help developing an efficient workflow to ensure each video is edited, turned into a blog post, and adapted into a social media post in a timely and consistent manner.
We currently have a small team of video editors and content writers who use a basic spreadsheet to track content tasks, but there is a backlog to clear, issues with consistency, and the process currently requires more hands-on oversight than we believe should be necessary with a well-designed system in place.
We’re seeking a volunteer with experience in content planning, workflow design, and digital marketing—someone who understands how to build and implement effective systems for repurposing content across multiple platforms.
Success for us would be a clear, repeatable, and efficient process that allows our team to deliver regular, high-quality content with minimal intervention. This will help us maximise the reach and impact of our content, keep our audience engaged and informed, and ultimately support our mission more effectively.

NLAH
Designer needed to create layout for web-based history of small homeless charity
As part of our 30th anniversary celebrations in 2023, we compiled a range of resources including digital and hard copy photos, oral history interviews, and written summaries of the history of the charity.
We are looking for someone with graphic design skills and ideally, some copyediting experience to create a layout for a PDF document about the history of the charity. We have already developed a format and drafted text, but are open to suggestions.
We would like the PDF to be hosted on our website but also printable to make it accessible to a range of users. The finished document will be a record of the work we've done over 30 years and could support future funding applications.
However, the primary purpose is to celebrate our continuing work to offer a welcoming and nurturing environment to homeless and vulnerable people, and to acknowledge the contributions of our founders, volunteers, guests, and the local community.

Rooted Finance
Social Media Expert needed to grow new project social media platforms
We're seeking a dynamic volunteer Social Media Expert to amplify our new project, "Equity in Finance," aiming to expose and dismantle the "ethnicity premium" – the direct and indirect extra costs for financial goods and services paid by individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds. This initiative, led by Rooted Finance and Money A+E, is an ambitious, evidence-based campaign to identify and address systemic, cultural, and structural barriers to financial access.
Our challenge: expanding our social media presence post our recent parliamentary launch. We've opened project specific Instagram and Twitter/X accounts, and they are needing strategic growth. We want to build connection with supporters, financial service providers, statutory bodies, funders, race equity groups and community organisation through compelling and creative content.
We need expertise in social media platform building, content creation, and storytelling. Success means a thriving social media presence, with adaptability for wider partnership use, featuring inspiring visual and written content, through storytelling.
Your focus will drive follower growth, engagement, and partner connections. Having awareness and understanding of charities, racial justice and finance sector would be useful.
This support will directly enhance our project's impact, fostering the movement for racial justice in finance.

House of Wayward Plants
Website Designer Needed for our House of Wayward Plants Reuse Centre
After nearly a decade as the Official Reuse Partner of the RHS, rehoming tens of thousands of plants each year to community groups and schools, we are launching the House of Wayward Plants Creative Reuse Centre. This is the next step in our story. We're building the infrastructure to repurpose plants, trees, and salvaged construction materials year-round from horticultural and building industries, supporting a sustainable circular economy that will transform green spaces across London.
We need a new Drupal-based website to reach industry partners, community groups, schools, and the wider public. It will also serve as the front-end to a CRM so we can match material donations to community green spaces.
In spirit, this site should be fun, engaging, and impactful. We have developed the content and have a clear vision for how we want the site’s information structured. We also have an established design language on our current site and in our pitch materials, which we plan to extend.
Because it must be a Drupal site to work with the CRM, there are no ready-made solutions. We are looking for a designer to help create a strong design language that can then be handed to a developer.
