Charity Details
Our charity has been operating for over 130 years. We send children for a much needed break at our Skegness Centre. Children are nominated to us by schools and social services. This could be on the basis of financial difficulties meaning that parents are unable to provide a family holiday, following bereavement or trauma and where a family member has a significant illness which impacts on family life. We are entirely self-funded, relying entirely on our generous supporters and fundraising activities. Our holidays change lives, and provide opportunities to develop independence, resilience and confidence. We send over 400 children every year and countless thousands have benefited from a stay at our nurturing, caring and safe holiday centre.

Action Against Food Poverty
We need support in updating our website to help promote want we do to business
We are looking for support to update our website www.aafp.uk so that businesses can see the work we do and support us, not only with funding but sharing with their customer and clients. This can have a significant impact on the funds we raise, as donors can see how their contributions are being used. We have not been able to regularly update the website and this has had an impact on the work we do.
Action Against Food Poverty is still very small but with the right support, we hope to increase the work we do to support more people.
