Be part of the change this International Women’s Day!
Join us at Women’s Voices 2025, our one-day event where media and creative professionals from across the sector come together to raise the profile of 15 incredible charities advocating for women and girls in the UK.
As UN Women highlight, the world is falling short of achieving gender equality by 2030. The erosion of women’s rights globally underscores the urgent need to raise women’s voices. Now, more than ever, it is crucial to support organisations that champion women’s and girls’ rights.
We’re looking for 100 passionate media and creative professional volunteers like you to dedicate a day of your time to provide expert guidance to charities supporting women and girls. Volunteers will generate ideas and develop a strategic plan to support a critical campaign or communications goal for each charity.
Before the event, you’ll be matched to a charity that aligns with your expertise and paired with industry peers for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact.
You’ll receive the charity’s brief and join a virtual Volunteer Briefing on Wednesday 26 February to help you feel fully prepared. On the day, your team will collaborate to come up with ideas and create an actionable plan to drive your charity’s campaign forward, or help them achieve a major comms goal in 2025.

Women's Voices 2024 Volunteer, ITV Studios
Ever struggled to make use of that annual workplace volunteering day? This is your chance to use your time and skills to affect real positive change. You’ll be directly helping these causes to develop creative solutions that drive action for women and girls across the UK.
Your creative skills are invaluable to charities. We’re looking for creatives, content makers, marketeers, journalists, planners, strategists, digital and social media experts, PR specialists, campaigners and more.
This opportunity is open to everyone with 2+ years’ experience working in the media or creative industries. All genders are encouraged to apply.
Spaces are limited, so act fast! Applications close on Monday 10 February 2025 at 09:00.
Volunteers will be selected based on their skills and experience aligning with a charity’s specific campaign or communications goal. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee you a place, and priority will be given to volunteers from Media Trust’s industry partners.

Alongside BGP, she co-founded Bloody Good Employers, helping companies improve their communications, culture and policies around menstruation and menopause and which was named a Natwest Top 100 Social Enterprise and won the 2024 NatWest award for Equality among other accolades since.
Gabby has been named a Top Changemaker by the Evening Standard, as one of The Progress 1000: London’s most influential people 2018; a Top 50 Trailblazers in Gender Equality 2021 by We Are The City and one of 100 trailblazers redefining the creative industry 2019 by The Dots.
Most recently she was awarded the Newcastle University Award for Civic and Social Contribution. She is a trustee for Clore Social Leadership, and an Ambassador for Huckletree.
This is my second year of volunteering at this brilliant event and it is high energy and enriching. It's really inspirational to focus on the great work that the charities are doing and fulfilling to be able to help them just a little.
