Communications support for grantees

When charities have access to communications skills and resources they are better equipped to raise their profile, share the impact of their work and succeed. This is why we work in partnership with charitable foundations, providing vital communications support to the charities and community groups they fund.

Our Funder Plus packages help funders to add real value to the financial support you provide. Together, we will work with grantees to develop their communications skills and create powerful content. In addition, we will connect them with volunteer media professionals from across the media industry to provide advice, mentoring and strategic guidance. 

How we can help

We will work closely with you to identify the specific needs of your grant recipients and then design a programme of communications support that accommodates the different needs, capacity and skills set of the grant recipient.

Our packages can include:

• A communications audit and creation of a comprehensive communications action plan
• Bursary spots on our expert-led Volunteer Films programme
• Mentoring and support from our  media volunteers
• Guides & resources covering Marketing, PR, Social Media and content creation
• Development of bespoke masterclasses for groups of grant recipients.

We also run bespoke workshops on key media and communications skills, which can help promote funders to future projects; provide networking opportunities between funders and grantees as well as among projects and improve visibility in key locations.

Our packages help to transform the work and impact of grant recipients into newsworthy stories and marketing campaigns.

Media Trust works with a number of grant funders, including Local Trust, The City Bridge Trust and John Lyons Charity to strengthen the communications capacity of their grant recipients.
