Google Ad Grants Mentoring

Introducing Google Ad Grants Mentoring for Equality Charities!

Have you always wanted to boost your online presence using Google Ad Grants but didn’t know where to start? Perhaps you’ve grappled with Google Ads before but struggled to see results. Look no further! We have teamed up with Google to help 20 equality organisations unlock the power of Google Ad Grants. This new mentoring scheme, which runs until 10 May, will help you maximise up to £7,000 free ad spend every month for your charity, during the programme and beyond.

We will match your organisation with a dedicated google mentor who will work with you to develop Google Ad Grants for your cause, from campaign creation to strategic optimisation.

Together in two one-to-one mentoring sessions your Google mentor will guide you through the nuances of Ad Grants, simplify the process of utilising the grant and will provide hands on support to turn your idea into a live campaign. This could be to recruit more volunteers or staff, market an upcoming event or campaign, or to get more eyes on your website – amongst so many other potential goals!

Applications have now closed.

During the mentoring scheme, you’ll attend:

  • A Welcome and Action Plan session on 26 March at the Google offices in London. This is where you will meet your mentors to agree the objectives and outcomes for your campaigns. You will leave with an action plan of how to utilise your Ad Grants, which you have co-created with your mentors.
  • One online masterclass on 27 March 10:00-12:00.
  • Two online one-to-one mentoring sessions before 10 May, where your Google mentor will support you to work through your Google Ads plan, help you launch your campaign and achieve your objectives. You will arrange these sessions with your mentor to ensure they fit into your schedule.

You will also:

  • Learn how optimise and effectively run live campaigns.
  • Spend all the money! – the Googlers will assist you with budget allocation and planning to ensure you make the most of the grant to achieve your comms objective.

To be eligible for the mentoring scheme, you must:

  • Be a registered equalities charity that benefits London communities.
  • Be responsible for and have access to your organisation’s Google Ads accounts.
  • Already be verified to use Google Ads, with easy access to your Charity Google Ads Account. Any issues with your account must be troubleshooted ahead of your application or, if successful, your start date. The aim of this bootcamp is to support charities to utilise their entire ad spend and launch your campaign. This is not for troubleshooting account issues. Part of the application process will require providing proof that you are verified.
  • Have a vision of how you would use your Google Ads. They can be used for a specific event, to raise awareness, to increase donations, amongst many other purposes. We are happy to help you work on your idea, but you must start with one in mind.
  • Have a Google account with access to Google Meet or be able to access one. This is how you will communicate with your Google mentors.
  • Be able to attend the 26 March Welcome and Action Plan Session in-person at the Google office in London.
